In the name of the Faculty of Philosophy I extend you our greetings and our gratitude for visiting this website.  

Our site will introduce you to the Faculty of Philosophy and to the courses that we offer in the areas of Philosophy and the Humanities, including the doctorate, our post-doctoral courses, research groups, and our publications. 

The Faculty is located in a privileged site in the centre of Barcelona, in the centrally-located Seminary building, which we share with other academic institutions. Here you will find the Episcopal Public Library (Biblioteca Pública Episcopal), one of the most important in Cataluña for the richness and antiquity of its holdings. You can also visit the Geological Museum (Museo Geológico), which is counted among Spain’s foremost museums of invertebrate palaeontology. 

One of the top priorities of our Faculty is to provide individualized attention: classes with few students, seminars, tutored professional training — all conducted in an environment of academic rigor and sincere collaboration. Research and study in Philosophy and the Humanities are our principal calling cards.  

We also offer the possibility of taking some of our courses on-line—an opportunity that we will be expanding gradually.
